Why the front doors on my year old antique buffet appear faded without shine when the rest is fine?

I bought a buffet antique oak about a year ago. When it was dark and shiny. In recent months I have noticed that both front doors have lost their luster and appear faded, even with a slight white coloration. I did a test and may thumnail scrape some of the buildup off. It seems that the wood below the accumulation is more bright and dark. I have not tried a colored paste wax, which has really shined up my room but no luck on the doors. Is wax build or deterioration?

Sound like the doors have been completed or at another time, or with many different color than the rest of the question. Or doors were repaired, but not the rest of the buffet. Or maybe the doors are out of Another buffet. I think the only way to fix this would be finishing it off, but that would ruin any resale value as an antique. I want to talk to a good shop Cabinet about this custom. This is a very technical question, and one person with many years experience is required. Do not go to a punk kid who works to help Home Depot or the like, not go to a real woodworking shop.
