Why all the jewelry I buy carnelian burst or break? Is this a form of energetic cleaning?

Each piece of jewelry I carnelian purchased as a pendant, ring, bracelet or pearl always end up breaking or snapping in half? I heard that some stones to release negative energy and cleanse the body. Is this the case with carnelian well?
